The firm’s history dates back to the mid-1930s when Travis Broesche began his architectural career after graduation from The University of Texas at Austin, growing the firm and establishing a strong reputation for design excellence in commercial, religious, and residential project types. Ben Boettcher joined the Houston firm of Travis Broesche Architects after receiving his Master of Architecture degree from Texas A&M University in 1974. Mr. Boettcher became the sole owner and principal architect of the firm upon Mr. Broesche’s retirement in 1987. Darren Heine, a 30-year member of the firm, was recently appointed President and continues the firm’s tradition of quality, conscientious design with exceptional service to its diverse clientele

Yvonne S. Brast, AIA
Responsibilities
Yvonne serves as project architect. In addition to managing production of construction drawings, her roles include responsibility for the coordination of projects with the architectural staff, municipal planning and zoning divisions, local building code officials, and consulting engineers.

Darren C. Heine, AIA
Responsibilities
As Senior Project Architect, Darren is responsible for all aspects of a project including the initial design concept, programming, technical detailing, and project management.
Always passionate about his profession and its values to society, he shares his knowledge and wisdom through mentoring young architect-hopefuls in their early architecture careers and in serving on municipal boards and committees.

Janice Fairlie
Responsibilities
Janice manages the administrative duties of the office and assists the Project Architect and Project Manager in all phases of the project. She performs research of product availability and coordinates product selection with the drawings and specifications. She maintains the reference library and the finish material selection center.
